Chapter 11

Cuddling the blissed out Leigh on his lap, Jared leaned back against the sofa. Rather than pulling his pants back up, he'd shucked them and his shirt off so that they could enjoy feeling each other skin to skin. Sure, that made his cock perk up again, but not enough to actually prod her. And he enjoyed feeling her soft skin against his even if it would mean ending the night with another hard on. He felt nearly as blissed out as Leigh seemed, even without another orgasm. Grumpily, Jared redressed. "You can just stay the night if you want."

The look she gave him, as she pulled her sweater back on, was bemused. "Maybe next time. After all, I don't want you to think I'm easy."

She giggled again as he pulled her against him, trapping her next to his body. "What's wrong with easy?"

But he took her home anyway, because they both knew that their relationship was already moving kind of quickly. In some ways, Jared almost felt like he'd emotionally jumped into the deep end; having a little bit of space wasn't a bad thing. So he drove her back to Adam and Angel's, walked her to the door, and gave her a thorough kiss goodnight. Asked if he could see her before his shift at Stronghold tomorrow. Watched her walk inside, returned to his car, and started driving back home alone, daydreaming about how nice it would have been to hold her while he fell asleep tonight. On the drive, his phone started vibrating almost non-stop with text messages.
